GREYAM YALE'S BIG DAY!

At last, I now have the energy to follow up on my new article: Greyam Yale's 1st Birthday Celebration.

We celebrated our son's BIG DAY on May 19th at Cafe Rustico, City of San Fernando Pampanga. That was between three til 6:30 in the evening. Most of our relatives and close friends went to the party. Yale's ninongs and ninangs with their kids joined the party too. It was a tiring afternoon for all of us, of course, mom was there at the venue earlier to keep things organized.

Here are some of the photos my brother and hubby took from the party:

We used minimal balloons for the party, coordinating the colors for the theme which is basketball and the color of Lakers, Purple and Yellow.

The cupcakes were placed around the cake, we didn't use a cupcake stand for this.

Yale's birthday cake was designed as a Laker's jersey with his name and age, moist chocolate cake.

                                                     Eat-all-you-can buffet table set-up

The chocolate fountain that tita Doris sponsored for Yale, too bad the chocolate became too thick after some time due to the temperature. :(

I made some DIY cards for the buffet, candy corner and souvenir tables. Here are the cards:

Here is Yale's Candy Corner, though hubby wasn't able to take a photo of the entire table when there were still a lot of candies. :)

Our family picture before the party started, hubby and I wearing Bryant jerseys and Yale's was personalized with his name and age at the back. :)

They enjoyed the photo booth that I rented for unlimited time and prints, spent Php 6,000 for this.
Here is our family photo booth shot. :)

Here is the design of the ref magnet giveaways for adults, wasn't able to take a photo of the magnet that we gave out. No more left. :)

Kiddie giveaways, coin banks. I made the thank you tags. :)

Yale's Lakers jersey from tito Ace, bought in LA. :)

Game prizes composed of toys, art materials and school supplies since Yale's kiddie guests were mostly schooling.

I wrapped the coloring books with crayons and put ribbons and thank you cards.

I also wrapped the rulers, pencils, erasers and pens with clear cellophane and ribbons.

More game prizes from Toy Kingdom were toys and colognes from Bench. :)

For the Best in Costume awards, I bought 2 eco bags from Toy Kingdom and these prizes landed inside.

Yale's gifts from the guests who attended the party

                                                                      Monetary gifts :)

Gifts from office mates, those who weren't able to attend

More photos posted on our face book page.

To all those who attended Yale's celebration, Thank You So Much! We really appreciate your effort and your generous gifts. :)

Party Planning: Part 2

For those who wants to know my party plans for my baby's 1st  birthday, here are the details. Please bear with me 'cause I can't post the photos yet, party is going to be on May 19th. But I'll post the pictures of the party soon!

The theme of the party: Basketball, Lakers. That was actually my husband's request. My idea at first was only Basketball Theme but since he is a Laker fan, we decided to have that too. I started gathering my thoughts and ideas last November 2011, six months before the big day. Just as excited as other moms can be. Hahaha! Our only option for the venue will be in the City of San Fernando Pampanga, our hometown and where Yale was born. So I started looking out for a good place, caterers and party suppliers.

My party supplier is from Angeles City. The package consists of balloon decors, clowns, face painting, balloon twisting, magic show, cake, cupcakes, kids tables and chairs and photo booth. The contact person is a nice lady a mom as well and she gave me a pretty good deal. For the caterer, since I don't have much time to visit Pampanga very often, I just checked online. I emailed some of the party venues for their rates, as well as hotels and caterers. But pretty much, most of them only serves 4 types of food, pasta, rice, dessert and drinks. But luckily, I remembered a place where we used to dine before, contacted their events person and asked for May 19th to be pencil blocked for me. Went there on that same weekend and I got the reservation! I was surprised when she told me that it's an "eat-all-you-can" buffet. They serve 20 kinds of food plus desserts and a choice of bottomless iced tea or coke in cans. Good enough! At least, our guests will enjoy unlimited eating for 2 hours. Hahaha!I made a reservation for 80 adults (buffet) and 20 kids (plated). The amount she gave me is still adjustable depending on how many people will attend. At least, I don't have to buy Lechon anymore! :)

Here are the photos of the venue:

There's a stage for the program/show, tables will be arranged according to our preference.

Three months before the party, I have decided to create a "save the date" card and posted it on our facebook page. For the invites, I decided to have them made like a basketball game ticket, Lakers theme of course! You may check my supplier for the invites at sulit.com, her name is Lorlyn Tomaro. She gave me a good deal with the invites.

Samples of Yale's "save the Date" card and invites:

That should be just enough of the party plans I have. I will show you more after the big day! Please do read more of my posts. I will be very busy these coming days for the preparation of Yale's big day!

Thanks a lot for reading! :)

Party Planning: Part 1

Party Planning has always been my forte since I was in college. Now that my baby boy is turning one, I decided to plan the party by myself. Yes, I did all the planning. From the theme, venue, souvenirs, party needs, food, etc. Though my husband has a participation about the theme, I gathered all my resources to come up with great ideas. Coming up on May 19th, dear readers, please do check out my next post. >>> Party Planning Part: 2
