Our Recent Trip to Manila

It's been more than a month now since we settled home to Pampanga. The thought of not going to the Metro makes me realize that I miss some things and food that we usually eat a lot. So last weekend, hubby and I went to the Metro to get the last batch of things in the condo. After which, we went to Trinoma and SM North to buy some things.

Hubby's fave chicken resto of all time: Bon Chon! We went for lunch in their Trinoma branch.

I tried their Chapchae, it's a serving of Korean glass noodles that tastes sweet. I love it!

Their soy garlic chicken that everyone loves!

Red velvet cuppies from Sophie's mom (SM North Branch)

Enough with the food, I chose not to hoard with make ups this time 'cause I'm reserving them on December. :)
So rather, we went to Toy Kingdom and hubby found some remote control cars. Just thought of buying one for Yale as our pasalubong for him.

And the RC for Yale!

Truly, at some point, you will realize that you have to skip the make up counters to buy something for your little one. Your bank account may become smaller...but hey, your little one's happiness is priceless! :)

'til next... :)

YALE'S PLAYROOM PART 1

This was supposed to be posted a week ago but I was too busy with my beauty blog. So now, I'm posting my son's simple playroom. I did put a "Part 1" in the title of this post since we haven't settled yet and we still need a lot of furnishings to do. Also, some of Yale's toys were still in the condo and we were just planning to get all his things before the end of this month.

Here's a glance of the playroom (one corner of his room):

(please don't mind the clothes under the TV as we haven't settled our things yet, lol)

At first, I was thinking of painting the room with blue and green but I opted to stick to the light blue color.
I just decided to put some bright colored rubber mats to give a kiddie accent in the room. I was actually looking
for black, red and white colored rubber mats but I can't find one at Toy Kingdom nor SM dept store.
This is a good alternative though.
He has Disney Cars collections that's why I thought it'll be good for that black-red-white colored mats.

The shade we bought from Davies Paints was Aqua Sky from their Bio Fresh Selection.
I bought 2 sets of curtain rods from SM dept store since the room has 2 big windows and 1 small window.
The curtains' color is a darker shade of blue and white sheer to give some morning light into the room.
I preferred to use thicker curtains since the room is air-conditioned, 3 panels of curtains for 1 big window.

My dad and brothers also helped out in putting those two shelves for some of Yale's things. They also mounted the TV,
it just doesn't look like it's mounted because of the table under it, but it is! :)

Btw, this portion of the room is just a corner where we put his play area. The other side of the room is for the sleeping area.

At times, in the morning, Yale plays with his cousins Kuya Bam and Viel. But they don't tend to have the same sleeping habits so Yale plays alone during the afternoon when he wakes up from a nap.

So there, sorry for the incomplete post. I'll be posting the whole room once everything is settled. For now, it's his play area to check out. :)

Thanks!

HUGGIES TOTAL PROTECTION PANTS

I am a loyal Huggies mom ever since my son was born. From Newborn nappies, Dry Comfort, my son have used them all. Since Yale is now more than a year old, and I can say that I have also noticed that most of the time, his nappies leaks when he is so much active and sometimes, overnight. So I decided to try Huggies Total Protection Pants. Yes, it's a bit pricey than the other Huggies nappies, but it do absorbs well enough and keeps him dry all night.

It's Php 436.50 at SM Baby Company (Pack of 30 size XL)

I just wish that Huggies can lower the price of these diapers and be more affordable for us moms. Overall, I'm in love with this nappy since it's also very easy to put on my son, especially if our kids are very active. This is more absorbent than Huggies Dry Comfort diapers.

Thanks again mommies! :)
