KIDS DAY OUT

Last Saturday afternoon, we decided to bring the kids to the mall so they can play out and have some fun. Yale was with his cousins Kuya Bam and Viel (my younger bro's kiddos), my mom, my SIL, me and hubby, and Yale's nanny ate Cres. We went out so that kids will have some fun once in a while. And also, because Yale is used to going out every weekends when we were staying in Mandaluyong.

After playtime, we all went to have merienda at Shakey's and had Deal 2 (Good for 5-6 Persons). We had spaghetti, pizza, chicken and mojos, iced tea.

They did enjoy the short playtime they had and we are planning to do this with the kids every once in a while so they can have more bonding outside home. :)

Thanks!

YALE is all well now...Thank you Lord!

After almost a week of fever and diarrhea because of Yale's tooth eruption, finally my boy's all well now. I can sense that he's too bored at home, so I brought him to the mall yesterday. And oh, I am alone when I brought him there. Driving myself and Yale (without a baby car seat), we made it through from home to SM Pampanga. Just imagine how hard it is to drive while holding him on my arms (the car is manual btw).

We met hubby at the mall and found a playground for Yale. I can say that he's so well now since he really enjoyed playing with balloons and balls. :)

Seeing my precious one so happy and enjoying his playtime is really worth it. Thank you Lord for this wonderful gift of LOVE. :)

SOFIA VIEL'S FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY (Rockstar Themed)

Another late post from a June birthday party that we have attended. It's the first birthday party of my niece Sofia Viel on June 10. Venue was held at home and it was a simple DIY party.

Here are some of the details:

A simple background poster made by her mom and my sis

I printed some of her pictures to be posted on the cake stand as well

Rock Star Themed Cake from Sweet and Fancy

There were also cupcakes around

We also made a simple DIY dessert station
(chocolate fountain, dippers and candies)

The birthday celebrant, Sofia Viel

Simple party but memorable for the family. Helping each other in the preparations and the party went well. The host who facilitated the games were actually her mom and my sis.

Planning a birthday party isn't that easy, you just need a lot of creativity and team work.

Again, happy planning! :)

GREYAM YALE'S FIRST HAIR CUT

Hi there! This is a very very late post of my son's first hair cut. It was last May (4 months ago) and I wasn't able to have the time needed for blogging. :(

I never gave him a hair cut yet after his 1st birthday, we decided to bring him for his 1st ever cut. It was at Cuts 4 Tots in SM Megamall.

Before the haircut

Doing the 1st cut of Yale's hair :)

Watching cartoons isn't enough, he needs toys and milk too for this hair cut! :)

After the session :)

The certificate

The cost I think is around 300+ if you're going to avail of the certificate. But standard hair cut is around 250.

'til next mommies! :)

Theme for GREYAM YALE'S 2nd Birthday Party

Hi there mommies! As early as now (8 months), I'm already gathering thoughts for my son's 2nd birthday party on May 2013. I'm a party planner so I don't want to have bulks of different ideas that will leave me cramming before Yale's party.

Actually, a couple of months ago, I have thought of giving him a unique theme for his 2nd birthday. I I was thinking of a Candy Land theme. But then, I realized that the theme is more "girly" and will require a lot of PINK colors on the decors. So, I decided to instead of having a Candy Land theme, a more "boyish" one is a Chocolate theme party.

Some of the SP (Smart Parenting) moms suggested to incorporate it on the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie, which was starred by Johnny Depp. The more creative side of me will then again flourish. :) But then, I notices that Yale smiles every time he watches Barney music videos. So another idea came into my mind. That is to have Barney on the theme, why not place him in the chocolate factory? There it goes: BARNIE and the CHOCOLATE FACTORY theme. :)

To have some ideas, I checked on Mr. Google and these are some of the things I think I can manage to do for the party.

Invitation...if you have watched the movie, this is how the invitation to the chocolate factory
looks like though it was inside a chocolate bar. I'm still thinking if I should put this in a
real chocolate bar or just have a DIY chocolate bar box and put the invites inside.

This is a very fascinating decor for the venue (photo courtesy of google)
I'm not sure if I can use this kind of decors (need to find a supplier for this)

These will never be missed. The latest trends in parties are candy buffets.
For my chosen theme, I have to put Barney decors, a lot of chocolate bars, cupcakes, cookies
and of course a chocolate fountain!

To be more on a budget-friendly party, I am thinking of getting a fast food/restaurant
to be Yale's 2nd bday party venue. Shakey's have a Barney and Friends birthday theme.
So this will be easier for me since their party packages already includes amenities like these.
I will just need to add on game prizes, souvenirs and some stuffs. Maybe I can bring a balloonist and magician too, since their host will be more focused on the program and games.

So there are my party ideas for my son's 2nd birthday bash on May 2013. Hope everything will be fine 'cause I really wanted to execute his party as much as I want. After all, he can already mingle and enjoy his own party by then.

Thanks, happy planning!

Annela's 1st Birthday Party (1st Party that Yale Enjoyed)

Last Sept. 8, we went to a friend's party. Her daughter Mayael Annela Claire turned ONE! The venue was at Max's Restaurant in Quezon Ave. Since it's a kiddie party, we prepared Yale for that event. It was the first ever party that Yale was able to enjoy. The past birthday parties that he was able to attend were his cousin's and he was too young and won't able to walk on his own, he wasn't able to appreciate yet that time, even his own party.

my boy, can't help but roam around the party! :)

Yes, he did enjoy the party...Mingling with other kids, roaming around the venue. And I was too tired to chase him along since we didn't have his nanny with us. But the time spent with him was worth it. Seeing our kid enjoying a party was awesome! :)

Happy Birthday Annela!

More Birthday Gifts for Mommy

Hi there! These are additional "Belated Birthday Gifts" for me, from my mom and sissies! Since we all gathered together last weekend (for my sis Chinny's birthday celebration), they were able to give me their gifts.

From mom: a striped blouse and orange flats (but the three of us have the same flats. lol)

From Chinny: a pair of dangling earrings and a pair of colored hoops

From Kaye: a set of Red Indian Bangles

Really love my girls (my mom and sissies)! They really know what I love. :)

But truly, above all things...I'm so happy and lucky to have them as my family. The greatest gift indeed! :)
